FAQs

How do I enroll my child?

We enroll dancers Annually in August and classes begin in September. We do not offer continuous enrollment throughout the year to provide tailored training to all dancers.

How long is training and when can they perform?

Dancers will train for a minimum of 6 months before they can audition for Performance team. After 12 months of training and performance dancers will be eligible for competition squad with auditions. Additional fees are required.

What classes do you offer?

We offer Majorette (J-sette); Hip Hop; Ballet; Expressions and Competitive Dance Classes in-studio.

We also partner with Renton School District and Summit Charter schools to provide performing arts classes to students during and afterschool.

How many classes does my child need to take?

Classes start at $70 a month for 1 class a week. This rate is for base or core classes (ballet or expressions). It is our recommendation that students enroll in 2 classes a week minimum to get the full benefits of training into performance.

Are there any additional fees outside of monthly tuition?

Outside of monthly tuition, dancers are responsible for all practice/ uniform attire; Solo registration fees for events; and competition travels expenses. These expenses can vary by training, performance & competition.

What else will my child learn with your studio?

We are exposing dancers to Black Dance Excellence! This expands to all genres of performing arts. Our dances learn about Black History with significant artist from other cultures; Music Theory and Life Skills to support themselves mentally; emotionally and physically. Our goal is a future of representation in our community of educated young adults with creative lenses to solve real world issue.
